Description:MW architectuur was asked to replace an old extension to this house in the Burgemeesters and Professoren neighbourhood in Leiden.

By making a new extension that gives a good view of the garden, coherence is created between the garden and the living space inside. The different heights allow light to enter from both sides. At the same time, this makes the extension fit in well with the scale of the original architecture and minimises the height for neighbours.

Eye-catcher is the Corten steel cladding, which beautifully matches not only the existing brickwork and tiled roof, but also the trees and greenery in the garden.
