Description:
Along the Haagweg in Leiden, around twenty townhouses have been developed on behalf of private clients.
The houses are located at the rear of a private courtyard, which also provides access to the houses. At the front, the houses are located on the waterfront, with a beautiful view of the Heesterboom windmill on the Rhine behind them.
MW architectuur designed one of these houses and supervised its construction.
In order to enjoy the view to the fullest, it was decided to situate the living areas on the upper floors with a roof terrace on top.
A stepping stone staircase leads directly into the house on the first floor, and a light staircase leads to the top floor with a kitchen and, above that, the roof terrace.
The sleeping area is located on the ground floor.
The home has been designed to be as sustainable as possible, with a ground source heat pump, high-quality insulation and heat recovery.
