Connecting cooking and living was central to this design.
This was achieved through a limited extension with a clever positioning of the kitchen. Cooking is now not only connected to living, but also to the back garden and the side garden. As a result, the side garden, which was previously hardly used, has become part of the whole and is now actually used.

The old kitchen has been converted into a utility room, storage room and back door, so that the living space could be kept as quiet and open as possible.

The renovation was used as an opportunity to make the house as energy-neutral as possible. Thanks to insulation, underfloor heating, solar panels and air conditioning/heating, this house hardly needs any fossil fuels.
