After a technical survey from the crane last October, it became apparent that the entire historic roof is in need of major maintenance.
Archival research shows that the cornice was originally decorated with lion heads, which disappeared at the end of the last century.
The cornice of the highest zinc roof was also decorated with ornaments that are no longer present.

The restoration plan drawn up by MW architectuur will examine whether it is possible to restore the missing lion heads and ornaments.
