week 15: bay window with kitchen
In Leiden, MW architecture renovates this 1930s corner house.
Next to the house is a wide garden that used to be the driveway of a garage at the back of the garden.
This garage has now been converted into a home office.
A wish in this conversion was therefore to connect the house more with the side garden, which is beautifully located on the sun.
By creating a bay window-like extension at the rear with kitchen, more visibility and contact with this side garden was created.
The conversion was the immediate reason to make this house completely sustainable and to replace the plastic window frames and gutters with window frames and gutters as original.
