Last week, a contractor was selected for the renovation and extension of a home in the Lage Mors area in Leiden.

The brief for this Leiden home renovation was to create a spacious, bright and sunny living space. The existing homes in this Leiden neighbourhood are quite narrow, but by utilising the wider back garden, a broad extension is possible. This will allow the home to have a much more spacious layout than it currently has.

Plenty of light will enter the new Leiden extension through the large, slender frames, which are oriented towards as many directions as possible. These frames will also allow sunlight to enter this Leiden extension on the north side.

Concurrent with the Leiden home renovation, the rest of the house will be renovated and converted to be gas-free and sustainable.

At the end of this year, Honsbeek Bouw from Voorschoten will commence this special Leiden home renovation and extension project.
